FAQ

Everything you need to know

Everything about joining, membership, coaching and the club. Not here? Talk to a human.
How is membership billed?

Membership payments run per 4 weeks, collected automatically via Gymly. Yearly commitment gets the lower 4-weekly rate; the flexible plan stays cancellable every period.

How do I pay?

Memberships and coaching run through Gymly — automatic collection every 4 weeks, no cash at the desk.

Can I freeze or cancel?

Yes — memberships can be paused or cancelled per the terms of your tier. Talk to the front desk or your coach.

Is corporate fitness tax-friendly?

Yes — Foundation™ for Teams runs via Bedrijfsfitness Nederland, so companies join tax-efficiently.

Are prices including VAT?

Yes — all prices are in euros and include VAT: 9% on club memberships and sport services, 21% on coaching. Stated otherwise where applicable.

What happens if I have an open invoice?

Bookings and check-in are blocked until the invoice is settled — you can’t reserve classes or enter the club with an outstanding payment.

When do I have to pay an invoice?

Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are paid within 14 days by bank transfer. Late payments accrue 1% interest per month plus collection costs.

Do rittenkaarten (class cards) expire?

Yes — 12 months from purchase. Unused rides expire after that without refund or compensation.

Do I get a refund for unused sessions?

No — unused or partly-used memberships, sessions, tokens or rides give no right to refunds, offsetting or extension.

Why are memberships capped?

We limit membership numbers to protect the quality of the MANA experience — enough space to train, access to our facilities, and personal attention from the team. General memberships are applied for via the waitlist.

How do I join MANA?

There are two ways to start with MANA: join the Club or start with MANA Coaching — either on its own, or combine both.

Want club access and guidance from day one? Foundation™ is our six-week coached start inside the Club. General Club memberships are limited and currently operate through a waitlist — apply to join the waitlist and we’ll invite you when a spot becomes available.

Can I visit MANA before joining?

Yes. Book a guided Club tour to explore the training and recovery spaces, meet the team, and get advice on the membership that fits you best. Book your tour here.

What’s the Off-Hours option?

A quieter-club variant of Rise™ — same membership, access Mon–Fri 10:00–16:00, at a lower rate. See memberships.

How do I cancel my membership?

Cancelling is only possible by email: send your reason to clubs@join-mana.com. Cancellations are not processed at the reception or by phone.

Can I pause my membership?

Not for holidays or busy periods. The only exceptions: a medical condition or injury that stops you training for 4+ weeks (with a doctor’s note), or a move more than 50 km from the club (with proof). A pause is confirmed in writing and gives no right to refunds.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yearly memberships can be frozen once per year, for a maximum of 28 consecutive days. Request it at least 7 days in advance (never retroactively) by emailing clubs@join-mana.com with the 28 days you want to use. Not possible in your first month or after cancelling — your membership is extended by the pause period.

Does a yearly membership renew automatically?

Yes — after the initial term it renews automatically and becomes cancellable monthly, with a notice period of one calendar month. A monthly membership is cancellable every month with the same one-month notice.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Upgrades and downgrades depend on availability and the conditions of your current membership. Tiers are capped and may not remain available throughout the year — we limit each tier to protect the training experience. Contact clubs@join-mana.com to discuss the options.

Is my membership transferable?

No — memberships are personal and non-transferable.

How can I purchase additional classes or change my membership?

Purchase additional classes and manage bookings through the Gymly app. Our team at the club can also help with additional sessions, membership options or account questions.

Can I cancel now and restart later in the year?

We cannot reserve or temporarily hold membership spaces. Because MANA works with limited capacity and may operate a waiting list, a cancelled space can be offered to a new member — we can’t guarantee the same membership will still be available when you return.

What is the minimum age to train at MANA?

The minimum age to train independently at MANA is 18. Members aged 16 or 17 may be able to train with permission from, or accompanied by, a parent or legal guardian — depending on the membership, class and individual circumstances.

Can I coach fully online?

Yes. Online Coaching runs remotely wherever you are. Personal Training and the combined track happen in the club.

What’s included?

A dedicated coach, professional intake & onboarding, a program built for you, weekly video calls & check-ins, nutrition guidance, and the MANA app with a private community.

Do I need a membership to be coached?

No. Coaching runs standalone — you don’t need a club membership. See the coaching page for current programs and pricing.

Do I need to be fit already?

No. Coaching is built for every level — new to training, returning after a break, or experienced. Your coach meets you where you are.

Do unused sessions or tokens roll over?

No — sessions, credits and tokens are valid within their subscription month and expire at the end of it. A rittenkaart (class card) stays valid for 12 months from purchase.

How long is a personal training session?

Personal training sessions are 60 minutes.

What classes does MANA offer?

Our signature class concepts are designed around different training goals: STRENGTH, HYROX, REFORMER and Social Group Personal Training. The exact schedule and availability may vary — view and book all current classes through the Gymly app. See SPC Sessions™.

I’m new to training. Can I join any class?

Absolutely. MANA classes are adaptable to different experience and fitness levels — coaches adjust exercises, resistance and intensity where needed. Train at your own pace, focus on technique and build gradually. Tell your coach before class if it’s your first session or if there’s anything they should know.

Can I train while pregnant?

We recommend consulting your doctor or another qualified medical professional before training during pregnancy. Also inform your coach before the session — they can modify exercises where appropriate, but medical advice always takes priority.

Does MANA offer Open Gym?

Yes. Open Gym is an important part of the MANA Social Performance Club™ experience. Members can use the training spaces independently during the designated Open Gym hours, depending on their membership and the club schedule. See the five spaces.

What is the class cancellation policy?

Cancel at least eight hours before the scheduled start. Cancellations within eight hours count as late cancellations — for credit-based bookings the class credit is deducted, and the same applies to no-shows. All cancellations run through the Gymly app or the relevant booking platform; we cannot process class cancellations by phone or email.

How do I cancel a class booking?

Via the Gymly app or booking platform only, at least 8 hours before the class starts. Later cancellations and no-shows cost one token/credit, and arriving late can mean being refused entry.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes — as a member you can get a day pass for a +1. Always register your guest at the reception.

What are the house rules?

Clean sportswear and clean indoor shoes, a towel during training, rerack your weights, and leave equipment clean and safe. Loose chalk isn’t allowed (liquid chalk that doesn’t transfer is fine). No alcohol, drugs or smoking in or in front of the club.

What are the wellness rules?

Swimwear is always required in the sauna, ice baths and recovery spaces, and use is at your own risk — check with a doctor if in doubt. Leave the spaces clean.

I lost something at the club

Are MANA’s advices medical advice?

No. Our coaching and guidance are not medical — no diagnoses, injury treatment or clinical nutrition plans. For medical questions, see a doctor, physio or dietitian. Training and the facilities are used at your own risk.

Is MANA liable for theft or injuries?

No — MANA is not liable for theft, loss or damage of belongings, or injuries before, during or after using the club. Store valuables in a locker.
